Doctor & team
People, before procedures.
A neurosurgeon and a multidisciplinary team who regularly discuss your pathway, from first contact through to your return to activity.
Private visits and care pathways, not covered by the Italian National Health Service (SSN/ASL). A consultation involves no commitment to surgery.

Dr François Lechanoine
Dr François Lechanoine is a French neurosurgeon dedicated to brain and spine surgery, with a particular focus on minimally invasive techniques, neuroendoscopy and spinal endoscopy.
He sees patients at Nova Clinic in San Marino and, periodically, at Julius Clinic in Milan, and is affiliated with Hôpital Privé Clairval in Marseille. He also sees patients at IM2S in Monaco, with availability arranged and confirmed by the team. Humanitas San Pio X in Milan is a possible site for surgical care, depending on the indication and arrangements confirmed by the team. He is the founder and scientific director of the NeuroNEC project.
Alongside clinical practice, he is involved in research and training in endoscopic surgery.
Minimally invasive and endoscopic spine and brain surgery
Dr François Lechanoine’s experience includes spine surgery and cerebral neuroendoscopy. This pathway focuses on spine care and movement; further information on brain surgery is available on the NeuroNEC institutional website.

The team
How we work together. The coordination team, neurosurgeon, anaesthetist and pain specialist, and physiotherapist regularly discuss your pathway; nutrition and psychology are included when helpful. Physiotherapy is central both without surgery and after an operation.
Three areas of expertise, one care pathway
François, Valerio and Steven share a plan built with you, before, during and after treatment. This is more than a series of handovers: shared decisions and coordinated follow-up, with conservative care when appropriate.
- Dr François Lechanoine
- Clinical assessment, shared surgical decisions and surgery only when indicated.
- Dr Valerio Sciascia
- Pain care and personalised anaesthesia, adapted to your needs and chosen treatment.
- Steven Menicucci
- Preparation, guided movement and rehabilitation, with or without surgery.
Before
Shared goals, pain assessment and preparation for the most appropriate pathway.
During
Coordinated treatment adapted to your condition, conservative or surgical when indicated.
After
Professional dialogue, follow-up and gradual movement progression according to your response.
