Video consultation or in-person visit

A video consultation is our preferred option for a first assessment, when it suits your situation: it often allows an earlier appointment, avoids travel and its costs, and lets you discuss your imaging with the doctor from home. In-person visits are also available in San Marino and, periodically, in Milan at Julius Clinic. Consultations at IM2S in Monaco are also arranged and confirmed by the team. In-person availability is more limited and waiting times are generally longer: the coordination team will give you the first available dates and arrange a visit when it is needed or requested.

How it works, step by step

  1. 01

    Send your request

By WhatsApp, phone or email. A request is not yet a booking.

  2. 02

    The coordination team contacts you

They review your request and contact details and explain the fee and arrangements.

  3. 03

    Payment in advance

You receive payment instructions before the appointment.

  5. 05

    Confirmation

The coordination team confirms the date and time of the video consultation.

  6. 06

    The video consultation

Around 30 minutes: we review symptoms and imaging, shared on screen when helpful, and discuss the options. A trusted person can join you.

  7. 07

    The written report

After the consultation, you receive a full report with the guidance discussed.

What to prepare

  • Complete imaging (CD, DVD or image link), not just the written report
  • Reports from previous consultations and tests
  • A list of the medicines you take
  • Details of any previous spinal surgery
  • A stable connection, a quiet room and, if you wish, a trusted person

What a video consultation can and cannot do

It lets us review imaging and history, guide the diagnosis and define next steps.

It doesn't replace every clinical examination: sometimes an in-person visit is needed.

It cannot always establish the cause of symptoms with certainty, nor decide on surgery remotely.

After the video consultation

Care often continues with further tests, physiotherapy, conservative treatment or, sometimes, guided injections.

If surgery is discussed, we take time to talk it through: a video consultation does not commit you to any operation.
